Why we built this

Tax loss harvesting is one of the most reliable ways for everyday investors to lower their tax bill. The math behind it isn't complicated, but most people never run the numbers because the tools to do it are buried inside brokerage dashboards, locked behind paywalls, or require uploading sensitive financial data to a stranger's server.

LossHarvest.ai exists to change that. Our core calculator is free to use, runs in under a minute, doesn't require a login, and doesn't ask for any personal information.

How it works

You enter your positions: tickers, cost basis, current value, and holding period. The calculator instantly shows your potential tax savings using current federal short-term and long-term capital gains rates. That's it.

Everything runs in your browser. Your data is never sent to our servers, never stored, and never shared. When you close the tab, it's gone.
